Fruited Bread Pudding

Ingredients:

3cupsof milk
3or4wholeeggs
1dashsweetner like sugar, brown sugar, maple syrup, or honey (I don't make it very sweet; honey goes with peaches, maple syrup goes with apples)
1pinchsalt

Method:

Butter a glass baking dish.
Break up some bread (Pepperidge Farm white works well but the soft Wonderbread doesn't) into little 1/2 - 1 inch pieces.
Fill to about 3/4 of the dish.
Cut up some fresh fruit (apples, raisins, peaches, strawberries, blueberries, whatever you have on hand) and nestle it among the bread pieces.
Mix the egg, milk and sweetner in a jug.
Pour the milk/eggs/sweetner over the bread/fruit
Sprinkle a little white sugar on the top to make it twinkly.
Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
This is a nice wholesome cold breakfast food but some bad boys like it hot with vanilla ice cream on top.
